Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Speaking Tour Coming to Denver

June 11, 2014 – Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson will bring his six-city speaking tour to Denver, Colorado in January 2015. Tyson is a popular television personality, bestselling author, and director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City. Most recently, Tyson starred as the host of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.

Tyson’s professional research interests are broad, but include star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies, and the structure of the Milky Way. His family-friendly tour features an engaging multi-media presentation followed by a Q&A session. The sessions generally cover a range of scientific questions.

Tyson is host of StarTalk Radio and FOX’s Costmo’s: A Spacetime Odyssey. He is a New York Times bestselling author of 10 books and is also a frequent guest on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. President Bush appointed Tyson in 2001 and 2004 to serve on commissions studying the future of the U.S. aerospace industry and the implementation of the U.S. space exploration policy, respectively. Tyson is also the recipient of 18 honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to non-government citizens.
