June 13 Is “Super Saturday” At Space Foundation Discovery Center

June 11, 2015 – Take a Space-cation this weekend at the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs. Come to the Discovery Center for special activities for “Super Saturday” on June 13, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and explore the theme “Living in a 3D World.”

Create 3D art then view it through a stereoscope, play in a 3D sandbox and use an astronaut glove box to build a 3D structure. Plus, design and launch your own paper rockets in Rocket Alley, and watch a Science On a Sphere® presentation in 3D. The first 25 children admitted to the Discovery Center on June 13 will receive a free Heatsheet® space blanket.

Additional fee activities on June 13 include:

  • Minecraft® in the AGI Space Missions Simulation Laboratory
  • Session 1: 11:00 a.m. – noon
    Session 2: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

    ($5 additional fee, seating limits apply, appropriate for ages 8 and up)

  • Drive a Mars Rover
  • ($5 additional fee, appropriate for ages 5 and up with adult participation)
