April 17, 2016 – Fiske Planetarium and Sommers-Bausch Observatory will celebrate Astronomy Day on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus on Saturday, April 23, with an array of family-oriented activities from noon to 10 p.m. The activities are free and open to the public.
The event will include demonstrations of the Science on a Sphere exhibit at Fiske Planetarium, live science demos, prize giveaways, and numerous educational activities focused on astronomy in the planetarium and observatory. Showing people that astronomy is fun is what the event is all about.
The observatory’s telescopes will be available for public use in the evening, weather permitting.
Fiske Planetarium and Sommers-Bausch Observatory are located on Regent Drive at Kittredge Loop Drive on the CU-Boulder campus.
