January 22, 2016 – The NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) Program is seeking Phase II proposals for continuation of promising studies selected during the first phase of the visionary program.
NIAC funds cutting-edge concepts with the potential to transform future aerospace missions, enable new capabilities, or significantly alter current approaches to launching, building, and operating aerospace systems. According to Jason Derleth, NIAC Program Executive in the Space Technology Mission Directorate,”Phase II proposals are very exciting, since they move toward implementation of concepts defined in Phase I.”
NASA will be accepting NIAC Phase II proposals until March 9, 2016 (NOI due February 4, 2016). This solicitation is open only to current or previously awarded NIAC Phase I concepts.
Complete guidelines for proposal submissions are available in the 2016 NIAC Phase II Solicitation.
