February 7, 2018 – Denver-based Intermap Technologies Corporation announced today that it has been awarded $1.8m in government task orders to provide foundation geointelligence. In addition to wide-area multi-frequency radar, Intermap will deliver 3-D data with a calibrated high resolution laser sensor, called Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR).
The new datasets inform topography, elevation, precise imagery, geodesy, GeoNames, boundaries, and human geography. High quality foundation data facilitates safety of navigation, improved disaster planning, resource management, insurance modeling, security interests, land registry, and infrastructure planning. Intermap utilizes proprietary sensors and airborne platforms to collect its foundation data.
Intermap will commence data collection in February 2018.
