Don’t miss this behind the scenes opportunity to snap, post, tweet, and share everything about NOAA’s newest polar-orbiting environmental satellite, JPSS-1. JPSS is a collaboration between NOAA and NASA that takes advantage of the outstanding capabilities of both organizations.

NASA is inviting social media users from across the U.S. to apply for credentials to join us for a viewing of the JPSS-1 spacecraft in Boulder, Colorado on June 19, 2017. Don’t miss your chance to get a special insider’s look at the satellite and its science and share it with the world!

As a JPSS-1 Social participant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • See the satellite in a Ball Aerospace clean room before it gets packed up for shipment

  • Tour the largest NOAA facility, the Earth Systems Research Laboratory

  • Hear from JPSS-1 experts in a private mission briefing

  • Speak with the scientists and engineers that made JPSS-1 and its instruments a reality

    Social media accreditation for the JPSS-1 Social event will open on May 3, 2017. The deadline to apply is 9:59 p.m. MDT on May 8, 2017. All social media accreditation applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We apologize, but due to security clearance issues, the event is only open to U.S. citizens.
