September 15, 2016 – Arapahoe County CSU-Extension is inviting youth to participate in the 2016 4-H National Youth Science Day experiment October 8. Drone Discovery is free to attend and will be held 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Buckley Air Force Base Youth Center.
Youth ages 8 – 18 will explore engineering design and flight principles of drones. The experiment will demonstrate how drones and remote sensing can be used to solve real world problems. Participants will design flight models and use computer coding.
4-H National Youth Science Day is the world’s largest youth-led engineering design challenge, drawing nearly 100,000 participants in 2015. Arapahoe County 4-H youth complete numerous STEM projects in robotics, agricultural science and rocketry annually. 4-H enrollment for 2017 begins October 1 for new members.
