Breakfast With An Astronaut

September 29, 2015 – Is your regular morning routine feeling a little down to Earth? The Space Foundation Discovery Center is hosting an out of this world breakfast on Saturday, October 10. Enjoy a tasty meal with NASA astronaut and former commander of the International Space Station Dr. Leroy Chiao.

Be sure to bring your camera or smart phone so you can snap a photo with Dr. Chiao. He will also be giving out signed lithograph prints.

All this is part of the experience October 10th starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Space Foundation Discovery Center during World Space Week. Seating is limited so sign up soon to blast out of your regular morning routine!

Chiao is the Space Foundation’s special advisor – human spaceflight. His Space Shuttle missions include: STS-92 Discovery, October 11-24, 2000; STS-72 Endeavour, January 11-20, 1996; STS-65 Columbia, July 8-23, 1994. In addition, he flew as flight engineer 1 aboard Soyuz TMA-5 to the ISS, where he served as commander and NASA science officer for Expedition 10. He lived on the ISS for more than six months.
